I stayed in the Cripple Creek Suite, which occupied three rooms on the second floor of this turn of the century home. I attended the wine social hour held each evening while chatting with fellow guests on the wrap around porch. Each morning I enjoyed a gourmet breakfast that accommodated my dietary needs before exploring the local attractions. My suite featured a deep soaking tub and a gas fireplace.
I sat by the fire pit in the yard during the evenings. The kids slept in the room that held six beds, while I stayed in the connected room. I made meals using the current appliances in the kitchen.
I selected my favorite films in the private movie theater and watched them from the recliners in front of the projection screen. After the movie, I sat by the outdoor gas fire pit while I looked at the view of Pikes Peak. Shane gave me a guided walkthrough of the hotel when I arrived to highlight the special touches and share local restaurant gems.
I stayed in the three-bedroom house for six nights. The floor plan worked well for my trip, and the quiet neighborhood made the house feel like a home.
We used the sunroom and outdoor spaces to split up while we visited friends. I rested in the backyard sitting area after I arrived to see my grandchildren.
I used the hot tub and sat by the fire pit in the backyard. The full kitchen allowed me to prepare meals during my stay. I watched for wildlife on the walking trail located behind the house.
I roasted marshmallows over the firepit in the yard each night after I finished cooking dinner in the kitchen. My bedroom looked exactly like the online photos and stayed cool with the modern layout.
I found binoculars and umbrellas stored in my bedroom, which I used while viewing the mountains. I also had coffee, snacks and a water filter pitcher in my in-room fridge during my stay. I used the bowls and mugs for my snacks while I looked out the window at the peaks.
I played corn hole in the huge backyard while my partner relaxed on the back porch. We spent our evenings around the fire pit, and I used the coffee pods left for us every morning. I enjoyed the privacy of the bottom floor bedroom during our stay.
I prepared meals in the full kitchen while staying in this home. The basketball court kept me occupied outdoors for hours. I used the backyard firepit at night.
I saw wall hangings related to The Beach Boys in the living area after I walked in to find music playing. The diverse library contained books authored by the owner while original artwork decorated the walls throughout the home. I watched mountain views from the front porch during my visit.

Films in the private cinema
I watched movies in the private cinema room after Janet and Dennis served a fresh breakfast each morning. I sat on the terrace to look at Pikes Peak while the sun set. I ate homemade cookies they handed me during my arrival tour.
